He has written a manual for his patients explaining the benefits and risks of hormone therapy, and reviewing the research in this area. He has developed regimes of hormone therapy that are highly effective at relieving all these symptoms without increasing the risk of breast cancer, blood clots, etc.

Dr. Montgomery believes that there is much misinformation about hormones, as well as misguided regimens that are neither safe nor FDA approved being prescribed by practitioners who lack specialty training in gynecology or endocrinology.

Dr. Montgomery believes that hormone therapy can be effective, safe, and not expensive and restore normal function to women who suffer from distressing menopausal symptoms.

Replenishing estrogen and other ovarian hormones also reduce the risk of osteoporosis, vaginal dryness, and atrophy. Recent research also shows that women who receive estrogen supplements after menopause have a lower risk of developing dementia or Alzheimer’s disease later in life.
